India's COVID-19 vaccination drive is now expanded to children in the age group 12-14 years

 Corbevax would be given in two doses to beneficiaries with an interval of 28 days

As of March 1, 2021, there were 4.7 crore children aged 12 and 13 years in the country

Eligible children can register through a family member's existing Co-WIN account or create a new one

The Centre has asked States to organise dedicated COVID-19 vaccination sessions through earmarked centres

Health Minister Harish Rao launched the initiative in Telangana at Khairatabad Community Health Centre (CHC)

The Home Minister urged parents to take the right decision and get their children vaccinated at the earliest
