Khammam/Kothagudem: Welfare of the poorer sections of the society has been the main priority of TRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, asserted Khammam MP Nama Nageswar Rao. The MP was campaigning for the TRS candidates contesting municipal elections in Kothagudem and Wyra Municipalities on Friday. Massive rallies were taken out in the towns by the party workers and supporters in support of the TRS nominees.

The MP told the public that TRS government was known for development. The government has launched development and welfare schemes on large scale and the party candidates have to be elected in the municipal elections to ensure all round growth of towns.

No government in the past was able to supply uninterrupted power in towns and villages. Supply of drinking water under Mission Bhagiratha and construction of double-bedroom houses were unique programmes which no other government implemented, Nageswar Rao noted.

Similarly, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak, Kanti Velugu and KCR kits have benefitted lakhs of families living in urban and rural areas in the State. Many State governments have been emulating the welfare schemes implemented by the TRS government, he added.

Kothagudem MLA V Venkateswar Rao hoped that the TRS was going to win all wards in Kothagduem Municipality as public were fully supporting Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The MP along with local MLA L Ramulu Naik conducted campaign in Wyra in the evening while Ministers P Ajay Kumar and Satyavathi Rathod campaigned for the TRS candidates at Yellandu during late evening hours.
