Hyderabad: Finance Minister Harish Rao has assured to clear the dues to be paid by the State government to Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB).
During a meeting with SCB officials, Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy and Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav held here on Thursday, the Finance Minister said Telangana government will extend all support to SCB in completing development works in its limits.
Rao said due to the pandemic and its impact on revenues, there was a slight delay in release of funds for clearing dues to SCB. “I assure you that the dues will be cleared at the earliest,” Rao told the SCB officials and Members. He appealed them to utilise the funds for taking up development works and providing basic amenities to the residents.
Malla Reddy and Srinivas Yadav wanted the SCB to extend its cooperation to the State government in completing works in its areas. Due to the Central government’s delay in according permission to different works, residents in areas here were facing inconvenience, they said and wanted the SCB members to exert pressure on the Central government in clearing the pending files.
They also wanted the SCB to clear Rs 9 crore dues to be paid to Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB).
