Siddipet: Former Minister T Harish Rao  called upon the newly elected general body of Citizens Club, Siddipet, to make the club a model drawing inspiration from Siddipet constituency development works and model villages such as Ibrahimpur.

Addressing members of the Citizens Club, here on Monday, Rao asked the club members to organise lectures by inviting successful personalities from various walks of life to motivate the young generation.

Assuring them to provide all help to organise such events, Rao said Ibrahimpur village had been attracting people from across the nation and other countries after it became a model village. People of the village had been working consistently towards making it an example for others, he added.

Rao said Siddipet town had bagged Best Municipality Award in South India due to the efforts of its people. Saying that Siddipet people were known for having special talent, the former Minister said such programmes would motivate the young citizens.

Since most of the members of the club were retired professionals, Rao asked them to do something meaningful for society in the second innings of their lives.
