After a lot of hype, Vijetha, the film which will mark the debut of Kalyaan Dhev, the younger son-in-law of Megastar Chiranjeevi is hitting the screens on Friday. Audience, movie buffs and fans of Mega family are waiting to see how another hero from the Mega household would be.
Kalyaan Dhev has a huge responsibility of keeping up to the expectations of Mega fans and he says that he has never taken the pressure to head but always worked with pleasure. “Since day 1, I was working with so much pleasure as it was my first film. That tagline of being the son-in-law of Chiranjeevi garu used to make me a little nervous. So, I decided not to be bothered much about it,” said Kalyaan.
After completing engineering, Kalyaan tried to debut in Bollywood as he was offered a role by one of the top directors there. But, somehow, it did not work. When Rakesh, the director of Vijetha, approached Kalyaan with the script, he went through it and asked his father-in-law to go through it and take a call.
“Mamayya (father-in-law) liked it very much and he immediately asked me to go ahead with the project. He hasn’t asked us to make changes in the script but the only thing he asked the director to do is to rope in Murali Sharma to play the father character,” added Kalyaan.
When asked about being trained in dance and acting, Kalyaan said that he hasn’t learned anything in specific. He worked hard to be as natural as he could be as he plays the role of a boy-next-door.
When asked about how the first day on sets was, Kalyaan said, “My first scene was to get down from a vehicle and walk, and it was easy. I made sure that I was in my comfort zone. The nervousness started from the second day as we were shooting outdoors and I was given two pages of dialogues. There were many people around me and all were just waiting to watch how I would act.”
Kalyaan is excited about his debut and says that he is looking forward to do more projects in the coming days.
