Hyderabad: World badminton bronze medallist Bhamidipati Sai Praneeth entered into wedlock with Swathi Jayanthi at a private function in Kakinada on Sunday. The ace shuttler had the engagement ceremony this November.

Doubles specialist Satwiksairaj Rankireddy attended the wedding function. Sai Praneeth had won bronze medal in the World Championship this year and it ended India’s 36-year wait. Prakash Padukone was the last Indian to win bronze medal in World Championship in 1983.

The 27-year-old Praneeth, who won the Singapore Super Series title in 2017, is currently ranked 11th in the world.
