Veterinary doctors administered anti-rabies vaccine to street and pet dogs marking World Zoonoses Day at Bhadrachalam in Kothagudem district.

Kothagudem: Hundreds of street and pet dogs were administered anti-rabies vaccine at temple of Bhadrachalam in the district marking the World Zoonoses Day.

The vaccination programme was organised at Veterinary Hospital premises at Bhadrachalam under the aegis of Hyderabad based voluntary organisation, Asha founded by Dr. A Vasundhara Devi, said a statement here on Tuesday.

The local MLA Podem Veeraiah who launched the programme appreciated the services of the organisation for the well being of canines. Asha Vice President Venuupusa Rama Krishna Reddy thanked the organisation founder and chairperson Dr. Vasundhara Devi for her support in conducting the programme across the state.

Animal lovers in temple town Udaykumar Elipe, Pamaraju Tirumala Rao, Ganji Ramesh and pet dog owners participated in the programme.
