Youngster from Telangana found dead in Toronto lake

The police in Toronto found the body and identified Reddy with the help of his roommate’s bus pass.

Hyderabad: A B.Tech graduate, B Jagan Mohan Reddy, 29, from Maheswaram in the erstwhile Ranga Reddy district was found dead in a lake at Toronto in Canada on August 1 after he went missing from his house on July 27.

The police in Toronto found the body and identified Reddy with the help of his roommate’s bus pass. Later, information was provided to Reddy’s sister who is staying in the United States. The reasons and actual cause of his death were yet to be ascertained. The body was found 15 kilometres away from his residence.

According to family members, Reddy had gone to pursue an MS course in Toronto, for which his family had taken an education loan. He used to maintain contact with the family at Manchal in Maheswaram through video calls.

His brother-in-law along with other relatives are preparing to go to Toronto from the US to receive the body.
