The Telangana government has constituted a four-member committee to investigate alleged land irregularities linked to 13 individuals, including several BRS leaders. The committee will examine alleged violations related to land ownership, prohibited category lands and encroachments, and submit reports to the government.
BRS leader T Harish Rao has demanded the resignation of Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy over the inclusion of lakhs of private properties in the 22A prohibited lands list. He vowed to escalate the issue in the Assembly and sought a white paper.
