AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, campaigning in Assam’s Binakandi constituency, urged Muslims to vote collectively for AIUDF candidates led by Badruddin Ajmal. He accused the BJP of pursuing “hate politics” and criticised the Congress for remaining silent.

AIUDF supremo and Lok Sabha member from Dhubri, Badruddin Ajmal, said that the movie would create communal discontent.

He further said there is a pre-CAA Assam, where Congress and AIUDF were on opposite ends, but in the post-CAA Assam, Congress, AIUDF and Left have opposed the Act.

The Assam finance minister claimed that while the AIUDF chief is doing something "alien to Assam's culture", he is trying to protect Assamese culture.

Attacking the Congress party, Shah said Congress cannot stop infiltrators in Assam as they are its vote bank.
