Aleema Khan, sister of former Pakistan PM Imran Khan, has petitioned the Islamabad High Court against his “prolonged solitary confinement” at Adiala Jail, terming it unlawful and in violation of fundamental rights.
Former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan’s sisters were once again denied permission to meet him at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, despite Islamabad High Court orders allowing bi-weekly visits. Aleema Khan stated that police routinely stop them at the checkpost and the jail administration misinforms the court about their absence.
A Pakistani anti-terrorism court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, over her absence in a case linked to a November 2024 protest. Authorities have been ordered to arrest and present her in court.
