Police claimed to have "encircled" two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in the higher reaches of Anantnag district of south Kashmir.

Confirming the development, the police said that an operation is currently underway in the district's Tangpawa area.

"A joint operation was launched today early morning in Anantnag based on Jammu and Kashmir Police inputs."
