Polling for Andhra Pradesh's MPTC and ZPTC elections began across 31,460 centres on Thursday with over 2.61 crore voters eligible to cast their ballots. The State Election Commission deployed extensive security and polling staff, with additional forces in sensitive districts. Polling was postponed in a few mandals of Eluru and East Godavari districts due to heavy rain.
