The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council was adjourned twice following uproar over the alleged display of Sri Venkateswara Swamy’s images by YSRCP members and demands for discussion on the Tirupati laddu issue and Indapur Dairy’s alleged links to Heritage Foods.
Biennial elections for five members of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council (MLCs), who will be elected by MLAs, were notified by the Election Commission recently, with the polling date scheduled on March 20
"The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the by-election to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council for one causal vacancy," said a statement from the chief electoral officer's (CEO) office on Wednesday.
