The ED and Maharashtra ATS on Thursday carried out joint raids in Padgha, Thane district, over suspected terror funding. Searches at several residences follow earlier ATS operations linked to former SIMI office-bearer Saquib Nachan and other suspected members of the banned outfit.
Rajasthan ATS recovered over 3,00,000 hidden photos and extremist content from cleric Osama Umar’s phone, revealing four years of TTP-related activity. Arrested in Barmer, Umar was planning terror training in Afghanistan before being intercepted, highlighting a major conspiracy.
Delhi Police arrested another suspected ISIS-linked operative in the capital, taking the total arrests to five. Explosives-related materials and devices were recovered. A key suspect, Ashar Danish, was caught in Ranchi in a joint operation with Jharkhand ATS.
