The flood situation in Assam remained grim as the death toll rose to 98, with 1,55,849 people affected across 13 districts. Golaghat remained the worst-hit district, while relief camps and distribution centres continued operating for displaced people.
The flood situation in Assam deteriorated on Tuesday as over three lakh people were affected by the deluge in 21 districts of the state, an official bulletin said.
