The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) has inaugurated the world’s first hydrogen production facility using the Copper–Chlorine (Cu–Cl) thermochemical cycle powered by nuclear heat from the Fast Breeder Test Reactor at IGCAR, Kalpakkam.
The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre has sought diversion of 148.15 hectares of forest land to expand its 3,000-acre R&D campus in Andhra Pradesh’s Anakapalli district. The proposal has received in-principle clearance from the Expert Appraisal Committee
"Around 25 technologies are likely to be transferred and around five new technologies are likely to be advertised for transfer in the year 2021," K.N.Vyas, Chairman said.
