State-owned OMCs have hiked commercial LPG cylinder prices by Rs 9.50 and raised aviation turbine fuel (ATF) rates by 5.46% to Rs 121.28 per litre, marking the second consecutive monthly increase. The hike is expected to raise airline operating costs and potentially airfares.

The aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price was increased by Rs 5,078.25 per kilolitre, or 5.6 per cent, to Rs 95,533.72 per kl in the national capital

This meant that the central government continued to levy excise duty, while state governments charged VAT.
