Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati expelled her nephew Akash Anand from the party, citing his prioritisation of personal ties over political responsibilities. The announcement followed the retirement of his father-in-law and former Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Siddharth, who was earlier expelled for alleged anti-party activities.
