A Bailey bridge over Uttarakhand's Tamak drain was washed away by floodwaters, cutting road connectivity to around a dozen villages and the border area. A BRO driver went missing after being swept away, while rescue teams were deployed amid a flash flood warning

Official says a small contingent will remain in the area to maintain Bailey bridge and to assist with the search operations

The operations received an impetus due to completion of 190-foot-long Bailey bridge that will enable movement of heavy machinery
