The protest aims to demand the implementation of the Kamareddy BC Declaration and the promise of 42 percent reservation for Backward Classes (BCs) in local body elections, as assured by the Congress during the Assembly elections last year
Kavitha convened a meeting with Telangana Jagruthi leaders and key activists at her residence on Friday, in this regard. She reminded that Telangana Jagruthi previously organised round-table meetings across all districts to gather inputs on the caste census and the need to increase reservations for BCs in local bodies.
