As many as 934 people associated with 11 hydropower projects in Nepal’s Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts remain out of contact following devastating floods in the Bhote Koshi River. IPPAN said 13 hydropower projects were affected by the disaster.
Nepali authorities issued a fresh flood warning on Friday after reports of a lake outburst in Tibet and renewed water flow mixed with debris and mud along the Bhote Koshi River. Rescue teams and residents in high-risk areas were urged to move to safety.
