The NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2025 has become the first Indian marathon to receive the World Athletics – Athletics for a Better World Silver Standard, valid for three years. The recognition places Hyderabad alongside globally renowned events such as the Boston Marathon and Berlin Half Marathon.
Nagabhushan Rao, a 74-year-old from Hyderabad, started running just five years ago. Now, he has completed the tough Ladakh Marathon and qualified for the prestigious Boston Marathon 2026, proving it's never too late to chase new dreams and stay healthy
