Residents of Burepalli village and nearby areas are gripped with fear after a wild elephant fatally attacked a farmer on Wednesday.

Reports said the woman, Nakka Shyamala (30) was upset over some family disputes and threw her three-year-old daughter Anusha into Pranahita river and later jumped into it.
