A study by US and Canadian researchers offers strong evidence of the lifelong health impact of early sugar intake. Children with restricted sugar consumption during their first 1,000 days after conception had up to a 35% lower risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
Developed by the researchers at the Simon Fraser University in Canada, the microchip real-time PCR test can provide accurate results in 30 minutes and requires 10 times less reagents than the tube-based RT-PCR tests
The device could be used in a medical clinic or at home, all without lab work, greatly simplifying the process for testing blood for cancer's signature.
