The study led by researchers from Copenhagen University in Denmark focuses on examining the link between a high body mass index (BMI) in childhood and COPD.
Data gathered through this initiative taken-up by Founder and Chairman, AIG Hospitals, Dr G Nageshwar Reddy, highlighted that just like children in urban areas, even childhood obesity is on the rise in rural regions.
The study, published in The International Journal of Obesity, has been conducted on 170 children of age between four and six years along with their parents.
