Cold conditions tightened their grip over Delhi-NCR on Thursday as air quality again deteriorated, with Wazirpur and Bawana touching the ‘severe’ category. Despite the withdrawal of GRAP Stage 3 restrictions, most localities recorded ‘very poor’ AQI amid dense fog and worsening pollution.

This decision comes as the region grapples with an alarming spike in the Air Quality Index (AQI), which has reached 424, placing it in the "Very Poor" category

As per the real-time data provided by the SAFAR, the AQI in Delhi at 8 a.m. was recorded at 354, which falls under the 'very poor' category
