BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal has strongly criticised IndiGo after his checked-in baggage went missing on a flight from New Delhi to Belagavi. He demanded an immediate explanation from IndiGo’s CEO and urged the Civil Aviation Ministry to intervene.
In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Parkash said the government has also received representations from the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) against e-commerce companies.
CAIT has also prayed that the Union of India must frame guidelines to govern big technology companies like WhatsApp and frame policies which would protect the privacy of citizens and businesses.
