The US is the worst-hit country with the world's highest number of cases and deaths at 30,777,338 and 555,403, respectively, according to the CSSE.

The death toll increased to 1,59,755 with 197 daily new fatalities, the highest in 97 days.

The country's caseload climbed to 1,05,95,660 including 1,97,201 active cases. The overall recoveries reached 1,02,45,741 after 16,988 fresh recoveries in last 24 hours.

Of the total 33,452 cases 4,100 were active while 28,774 patients recovered and were discharged.
