The Delhi chief minister on Tuesday called for cancelling all air services with Singapore with immediate effect.

A year into the Covid-19 pandemic, the US is still fighting a brutal battle against the virus as its total number of infections has topped 25 million.

Last month, these services were suspended to stop the spread of a mutant Covid-19 strain which was recently discovered in the UK.

A girl, who recently returned from the UK, has tested positive for the new Covid-19 strain in Meerut as per the reports received on Tuesday evening. Her parents have tested positive for Covid-19 too, but it is not the new strain.

The Chief Minister made the announcement following a meeting with Health Minister K Sudhakar, members of the state Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for COVID-19 and senior officials.
