Volunteers of the Animal Warriors Conservation Society (AWCS), known for rescuing animals and birds across the State, found 17 different migrant birds trapped in Chinese manja at various places since January 1 when the season of Sankranthi kite-flying started
The district authorities said based on symptoms and prima facie evidence, it appeared that the crows died due to "extreme cold and pollution" in the area.
"Section 144 has been imposed in the affected area in the Radi area. A Rapid Response Team has been constituted to collect samples from poultry farms and shops," informed Jhalawar's Collector Ngikya Gohain.
