Hyderabad Cybercrime warns of a surge in ‘Digital Arrest’ scams where fraudsters impersonate police or government officials to extort money. Citizens are urged not to share personal or financial information and report suspicious calls to official channels
The Cybercrime unit of Hyderabad police arrested three persons who allegedly cheated and extorted Rs.48.38 lakh from a woman. The arrested are Aman Joshi, resident of Ramkoti, Prashanth Biradar, a resident of Shahinyathgunj and Rohit Sharma of Panduranga Nagar
