The former village head, Malkhan Singh, 58, said his family was taking a bath in the reservoir of a tubewell on Thursday when a group of 8-10 upper caste men, aged 20-25 years, of the same village arrived and attacked them with sticks.
"Starting with the poorest of the poor, every eligible Dalit family in the State would be covered under the scheme in a phased manner," informed the Chief Secretary
The dairy scheme will be implemented in Mulugu, Jangaon and Warangal Rural in combined Warangal district as a pilot project before it is extended to other districts in the State
