Declan Rice opened the scoring for Arsenal, followed by Ethan Nwaneri, who notched his first goal for the club in the first half. Nwaneri then received chants of "he's one of our own" as he completed his brace. Although Aaron Collins scored for the visitors, Raheem Sterling answered back with his first goal for Arsenal, extending the lead to 4-1 in the second half, before Kai Havertz sealed the victory.
