Supreme Court of India directed the Delhi government to clarify when a selection committee for regular appointments to the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission will be notified, while hearing concerns over vacancies and stalled adjudicatory functions in the commission
A bench headed by CJI DY Chandrachud and comprising Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra noted that Justice Jayant Nath (retired) has taken charge of the electricity tariff regulatory body as chairperson pursuant to an interim direction passed by the apex court.
