The BRS termed the Delhi Ordinance Bill, as a threat to democratic federalism and it has been a subject of fierce debate in the Parliament.

Owaisi submitted a notice to Lok Sabha General Secretary, opposing the bill's introduction, citing that "it infringes upon the principle of federalism, a fundamental aspect of the Constitution's basic structure."
