Delhi Police Crime Branch has begun probing violence during a July 20 protest in the capital, focusing on alleged assaults, vandalism and damage to public property and whether the violence was premeditated. The investigation follows Supreme Court directions quashing related FIRs 

Order on the release of Devangana Kalita, Natasha Narwal and Asif Iqbal Tanha came two days after the Delhi High Court granted them bail in the case.

The Union Minister said that sometimes in a way it seems that these people who have been defeated in the elections are all gathering and trying to spoil the atmosphere in the country.
