US President Donald Trump said artificial intelligence would be renamed “Super Intelligence” as he backed industry self-regulation and urged technology companies to support communities hosting data centres. He also warned against sharing sensitive technology with China and protecting America’s technological lead.
US Attorney General Todd Blanche said the United States could not afford to lose the AI race to China and rejected calls for Justice Department regulation. He said authorities would prosecute individuals and companies involved in alleged technology theft.
