Dr Kumaraswamy Thangaraj, Senior Scientist at Hyderabad’s Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), has been awarded the Padma Shri 2026 for his pioneering research in human genetics. The honour places him among Hyderabad’s distinguished scientists.
