The Andhra Pradesh government has directed APTRANSCO to complete 24 power transmission projects worth Rs 3,507 crore by December 2026. The projects aim to strengthen grid infrastructure, improve power reliability, reduce transmission losses and meet growing electricity demand across sectors
Former minister T Harish Rao accused the Congress government of failing to create new electricity infrastructure despite borrowing heavily. He highlighted BRS’s achievements during its decade-long rule, including expansion of substations, installation of transformers, and investment of over one lakh crore in the power sector.
