Former MLA Gandra Venkataramana Reddy criticised the Congress government for ignoring the strike by 23,000 electricity department workers in Telangana. He alleged that instead of engaging in dialogue, the government was threatening dismissals and obstructing protests.
Telangana Power Generation Limited (TG GENCO) has issued a final notice to artisans on strike, directing them to return to duty within 24 hours or face termination. The corporation invoked the Telangana Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA), declaring the strike illegal.
