India and Finland discussed strengthening economic and technology ties during meetings in Helsinki, with both sides expressing confidence that the proposed EU-India Free Trade Agreement could double bilateral trade by 2030 while expanding cooperation in AI, space, semiconductors and sustainability
India, fresh from sealing its landmark free trade pact with the European Union, is now aggressively expanding negotiations across North America, Latin America, Africa, the Gulf, and Oceania. Chief negotiator Darpan Jain said New Delhi’s strategy aims to cover “almost the entire world.”
