The US Federal Aviation Administration has certified Boeing's 737 Max 7 for commercial service after years of delays caused by safety reviews, design changes and regulatory scrutiny following the fatal Max 8 crashes. The aircraft is expected to serve short- and medium-haul routes.
Air India is carrying out phased modifications to certain Boeing 787 Dreamliners following a US FAA airworthiness directive on door assist handles. The airline said flight operations and safety remain unaffected while upgrades are completed across affected aircraft
"The FAA will continue to work with SpaceX to evaluate additional information provided by the company as part of its application to modify its launch license," FAA spokesperson Steve Kulm said
The investigation began in April of 2019, weeks after the second of two tragic crashes of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, when Committee staff began receiving information from whistleblowers disclosing numerous concerns related to aviation safety, according to the report.
