In a study published in the scientific journal eLife, it was revealed that inherent genetic variations can cause certain individuals to accumulate waist fat while simultaneously offering protection against diabetes.
The Department of Physiology and Center for Muscle Biology study published in the FASEB Journal found that resistance-like exercise regulates fat cell metabolism at a molecular level.
"Many people believe that, by definition, heart failure is only a condition of the heart. But it's much broader and multiple organs are affected by it," said researcher Jason Dyck from the University of Alberta in Canada.
