A US federal judge in California has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from firing federal employees during the ongoing government shutdown, siding with unions that argued the layoffs were unlawful and politically motivated. The injunction affects over 4,000 workers.
US District Judge Carl Nichols, a Trump appointee, agreed to block an order that would have given the thousands of overseas USAID workers the administration wanted to place on abrupt administrative leave just 30 days to move families and households back to the US on government expense
"The government's intent is evident: to hinder President Trump and his legal team from adequately preparing for the trial. The Court should reject the government's appeal," stated attorneys representing the former President.
Acting North Texas Federal Prosecutor Prerak Shah announced on Friday the sentencing of Sitesh Patel, 37, on a conspiracy charge relating to the misbranding of the supplements.
The judge ruled that "Corellium's creation of virtual iPhones was not a copyright violation, in part because it was designed to help improve the security for all iPhone users".
