Navratri festivities began with grandeur across India as devotees thronged temples to worship Goddess Durga. From Vaishno Devi in Jammu to Jhandewalan in Delhi and Naina Devi in Himachal, lakhs offered prayers on the first day dedicated to Goddess Shailputri.
