The Uttar Pradesh government will shower flower petals from a helicopter across seven districts on August 9–10 to welcome Kanwariyas during the annual Shravan Kanwar Yatra. The two-day aerial programme covers Baghpat, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, and Bulandshahr, with a total flying time of nearly 10 hours.
