"What I really loved about the story when I first got the script was that it was this really big, ambitious sci-fi story. But, in disguise, it had another story going on. That's definitely what drew me in," Herron said.
Wilson said: "Yes, I knew the Marvel movies and had a general knowledge but it was great when I first got down to work in Atlanta because Tom (Hiddleston) would give what we called 'Loki lectures'.
"Having played Loki for such a long time and having had the privilege of inhabiting him at the outset, I've always felt an affection for him and for his vulnerability," Hiddleston said.
