Former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, sentenced to life imprisonment in a rape case, has been assigned work as a library clerk at Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara prison. He will earn Rs 522 a day for issuing books and maintaining records
The duration Prajwal had already spent in jail would not be deducted from the newly imposed sentence. This means the life imprisonment term will start afresh from the date of sentencing. Notably, Prajwal had not been previously arrested but was produced before the court under a body warrant.
