The Delhi Medical Association has issued an advisory amid a rise in H1N1 cases, urging people to maintain respiratory hygiene, avoid crowded places, wear masks when needed and seek medical advice promptly to prevent further spread of influenza in Delhi.
Senior doctors and public health experts have urged people in Telangana, particularly vulnerable groups, not to ignore viral fever symptoms. They cited rising influenza, SARI, ILI and H1N1 cases in neighbouring states and advised timely medical attention
The ICMR has said no new H1N1 strain has been identified amid rising swine flu cases in Delhi and elsewhere. It said circulating strains match recommended vaccine strains and urged vigilance, particularly for vulnerable groups at greater risk of complications
